Loggerhead Turtles are found from Argentina to Nova Scotia, and all are members of the same endangered species. This charming miniature is executed in Haut Relief and is on top of a uniquely shaped nine sided box. These turtles' name comes from their characteristically large head which gives them the strong jaw muscles to enable them to consume their diet of sponges, jellyfish, horseshoe crabs, clams and oysters. One of these little items is a "must" for all who collect turtles.
