African Mask

The mask has become a status symbol for the owner and is often in the traditional ethnic tribal dances which are perfomed during various celebrations. Most popular is the iniciation celebration of a young boy into manhood. Other popular occasions include a circimcision or a wedding of a son or a daughter from an elder statesman of the tribe.
