This artifact is typical of African musicians playing various instruments.
Instruments are found all over Africa and almost every tribe has its own variation, some of which are beautifully decorated with carvings or beads.
Drums are the most important instrument, but stanzas (finger pianos) are also typically African.
Music and dance are an integral part of Africa, pulsing through all aspects of life from play to religion. it allows expression of emotion and is a vehicle for communicating the laws and traditional myths of the tribe.
